A new star-studded adaption of Little Women by Greta Gerwig is coming, and it's gonna be awesome.

Little Women was a staple in almost every girl's childhood. The book was iconic. The movie made us all wish we had skirts that big. The show has been re-done a truly ridiculous amount of times since it’s birth, from movie remakes to made for TV series, by numerous actors and directors. So why is this adaption about to blow its predecessors out of the water?

Greta Gerwig, director of the critically acclaimed Lady Bird and 20th Century Women is about to take on this remake and the cast list is blowing our minds. First of all, everyone's favorite OG feminist Jo March will be played by the incredibly talented Saoirse Ronan, which is just so fitting.

Ronan also stared in Gerwig’s Lady Bird where she played another fun powerful female. Next up, as the blossoming flower, the eldest sister Meg March which is to be played by Emma Stone.

No one is more pumped to see her with civil war era bonnets on than me. I mean, that sounds so cute.

Next up on the killer cast list for Little Women is Florence Pugh playing the spunky somewhat irritating but still entirely lovable Amy March. This English actress is gonna have to brush off her American accent and once again step back into time for a role like she did in Lady Macbeth.

To play the infamously cranky but secretly soft aunt March we have none other than the queen of the screen herself, Meryl Streep, I don't think I have to explain why that’s cool. Last but not least, to come into the role of mister tall dark and handsome, the definition of boyfriend material, to play the one and only Laurie Laurence, Timothee Chalamet, which let’s be honest, is a part that’s pretty much made for him.

Gerwig seems to have really taken a shining to both Ronan and Chalamet as both stared in her film, Lady Bird. They were magic together on that set and had great chemistry so we have no doubts that same magic will carry on into this Little Women, star-studded adaption.

Filming is due to start in Boston, this October, and let’s be honest, I think we’re all a little tempted to head over there and audition to be an extra on what is sure to be one of the most fun film sets ever. This coming of age story is a tale as old as time and has been told enough times to prove that, but this all-star cast is sure to bring new life into your favorite girl-hood novel.
